Dr. Yaser Kalash, Board Certified Cardiologist and Internal Medicine Physician, joined the staff of The Physicians of St. Joseph’s in 2010. Dr. Kalash previously served as the consultant in the Cardiology Division of the Department of Internal Medicine on staff at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Forbes Regional Hospital, West Moreland Jeanette Hospital, and the Life Care Hospitals of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Kalash received his degree from the Aleppo University School of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria, and completed his residencies and fellowships at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, Grant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and UPMC in Shadyside, Pennsylvania. He has received several awards including the Cardiology Fellowship Award, has worked in research in the Liver Transplantation Program at UPMC and has served as a guest lecturer. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in the Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease.
Dr. Kalash is certified in Cardiac Nuclear Stress testing and interpretation, Echocardiograms, Tran-Esophageal Echocardiograms, Carotid Duplex Studies, Abdominal Aorta, Arterial and Venous Doppler Studies, EKGs, Tilt Table Testing, and follow-up for Pacemakers and Implanted Cardiac Defibrillators. He also provides cardiac treatment intervention and rehabilitation services.
